Yatú: Our First Single Origin — From the Mountains of Cauca, Colombia

Yatú is a word of indigenous origin meaning work of the land, connection with the earth, and respect for nature — the values that guide every harvest.

Why Yatú?

We didn’t just name this coffee — we listened to it. When we found this lot from the Nasa people of northern Cauca, the name came naturally. Yatú isn’t a marketing phrase. It’s a word that has guided farming communities for generations, and it’s the right name for a coffee that carries that weight.

The community behind the cup

In the mountains of northern Cauca, the indigenous Nasa people have cultivated coffee as an act of cultural resistance and identity for generations. SICEET — their association, founded in 2011 — unites 218 smallholder producers in Toribío, committed to specialty quality and harmony with the land.
